A Healthcare Advocate is the person who helps a patient and their caregivers navigate the healthcare system, ensuring that they get the right care, delivered by the right providers, on a timely and affordable basis. They help a patient understand the costs and ramifications of their care, and help them coordinate a team that will execute care management. Healthcare Advocates come in on the early end of a care plan, and then stay involved as needs dictate.
